My inspiration for these individual textile pieces is the design of traditional Welsh tapestry or 'Carthen'. The pattern has then been transformed using colours of the summer landscape that surrounds me. 

My hand painted abstract drawings have been digitally printed onto silk which has then been needle punched with pure wool. This gives a delicate layered effect to enrich my chosen palette.
